Since 2017, Ken has been a Professor of Biblical Studies, concentrating on the Old Testament, at Dallas Baptist University.  For 20 years, prior to coming to DBU, Ken was with Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, AR as Chair of the Department of Christian Ministries.  He was a pastor in Oklahoma for six years prior to that, and served as a Foreign Mission Board Journeyman to Scotland for two years.

Ken’s ministry objective is to serve congregations as Interim Pastor.  His formal training for this position and 38 years of ministry experience equip him to be effective in this calling.

Ken’s education includes a B.A. from Hannibal-La Grange College in Missouri in 1985, a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth in 1991, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Southwestern in 1997.

Ray grew up in Alabama and graduated from Jacksonville State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Linda, have a daughter, Candice, who is married and lives in Louisiana. Linda is a private voice teacher, a staff accompanist, and a church organist. Ray has served Baptist churches in 5 states. He is a member of The CenturyMen and The Singing Men of Texas (North Central Chapter). Ray directs the FBC Worship Choir and the Senior Serenaders’ Choir. He has been our Minister of Music since July 2009.
